Calibration

Managing the large 300x300 mm print bed of the da Vinci Super requires precise calibration and preparation to ensure print success. Follow these eight calibration steps:

• Glass Bed Cleaning with 70%+ IPA: Clean the build plate thoroughly with a microfiber cloth and IPA. On a 300 mm bed, any oily residue or dust will cause localized adhesion failure, which can ruin a large-scale print.
• Expected result: A pristine, grease-free surface ready for adhesive application.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Z-Axis Bed Flex and Sagging: Under the weight of the large aluminum bed plate and heavy printed objects, the front of the bed carriage can flex or vibrate during vertical layer changes.
• Symptoms: Uneven first layer thickness at the front of the bed, horizontal banding (Z-banding) on tall prints, and mechanical vibrations during print cycles.
