Achieving accurate and reliable prints on the Modix V4 BIG-60 requires following this eight-step engineering calibration guide:

• Thermal Stabilization Pre-Heating:

Before starting any leveling or calibration routine, heat the bed to your target temperature (e.g., 60°C for PLA, 95°C for ABS) and wait 25-30 minutes. The 60x60 cm aluminum build plate expands physically when heated, altering the bed shape profile.

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• CAN-Bus Communication Dropouts: Because the CAN communication wires run through the same drag chain as the stepper motor and heater lines, high-frequency electromagnetic interference (EMI) can cause communication drops. This can halt prints mid-run with a "Toolboard connection lost" error.
• Solution: Use a shielded, twisted-pair CAN cable and connect the shield to the printer's frame ground.
