CNC machining: Milling, turning and sheet metal bending

A CNC service from file to finished part, for metal, plastic and wood. We take the order through to the finished part: the design and the drawings are ours, and we answer for quality and lead time.

Drawing: a milled aluminium bracket with a cutter above it
Drawing: a shaft in a bore
Drawing: a worn old part next to the new one, and a caliper
Drawing: a fixture plate holding a part with pins and clamps
Drawing: a row of identical parts
Drawing: a sheet with a cut contour and the path of the router bit
What is the part for?

You have a file or a drawing and want one or two pieces to check that the part does the job. We review the file before the quote and tell you if a shape is hard to machine.

Price By quote by email within 2 working days

You get
The part from your file or drawing, with the usual general tolerance.
Process
Milling, or turning for a round part. Most often aluminium, steel or engineering plastic.
Tolerance without a drawing
±0.127 mm guide
Inside corner
rounded, radius at least 0.5 mm (more in a deep pocket)
Lead time
3 to 5 working days guide

The part goes into another one, so it needs a drawing with tolerances. The drawing is reviewed as part of the quote, and a tight tolerance is confirmed there, not promised in advance. A tight tolerance makes the work dearer and longer, and a measurement report is agreed separately.

Price By quote by email within 2 working days

You get
A part made to your drawing. How tight a tolerance is possible for it is confirmed in the quote, before you decide.
Process
Milling and turning. Steel, stainless steel, aluminium or PEEK.
Precise tolerance (to a drawing, on request)
±0.005 to ±0.025 mm
Input
a drawing with tolerances
Lead time
The lead time depends on the drawing and the quantity and is given in the quote.

A part broke or wore out and there is no drawing. We measure the sample and draw the model and the drawing, then the part is made.

Price By quote by email within 2 working days

You get
A new part made from the sample, after we draw the model and the drawing.
Process
Measuring or scanning, then milling or turning. The material of the original is decided in the quote.
Tolerance
from the sample, agreed in the quote
Shaft held in the chuck only
length up to 3 times the diameter; a longer one needs lighter cuts or support
Input
the sample, a photo with a ruler or a sketch
Lead time
The lead time depends on the drawing and the quantity and is given in the quote.

You need a device that holds, guides or checks other parts, usually one piece. We help you simplify the shape so it is easy to machine.

Price By quote by email within 2 working days

You get
The fixture from your file or sketch, simplified where that makes it easier to machine.

What we make

Six processes for metal, plastic and wood. The right one is chosen by the shape of the part.

  • Milling

Housings, plates, flanges and complex shapes in metal and plastic, when the shape comes from a 3D model or a drawing.

  • Turning

Turning for shafts, axles, bushings and other round parts, with bores and steps, from a drawing or a file.

  • Sheet metal bending

Brackets, boxes and enclosures from flat sheet: the outline is cut from a DXF, then the sheet is bent along the lines on the drawing.

  • Plasma cutting

Plasma cutting of steel plate along a DXF outline, when a smooth edge is not required.

  • Waterjet cutting

Waterjet cutting with a jet of water and abrasive: the material is not heated, so there is no heat distortion.

  • CNC router

A CNC router for sheet material such as wood, plywood and plastic: flat parts, signs and blanks.

Why tolerance matters

Tolerance is how far a dimension may differ from the drawing. The usual one is enough for most parts, while a tighter one makes the part more expensive.

Tolerance in milling and turning
Kind of toleranceTypical in machining
Usual tolerance Suits most parts.±0.025 to ±0.125 mm
Precise tolerance Needs a drawing with tolerances and is confirmed in the quote.±0.005 to ±0.025 mm

A precise tolerance is given only from a drawing and is confirmed in the quote, before you decide.

How an order works

From the file to the part in your hands, in five steps.

  1. File

You pick what you have (a 3D model, a drawing, a sheet metal part or only an idea) and upload a STEP, STL or DXF file or a PDF drawing. A 3D model and a sheet metal DXF are read in your browser; a drawing is taken as it is and an engineer reviews it. A photo or a sketch is enough to start, and if you have no file, you describe the part.

  2. Check

The app checks the file in your browser and shows the size, volume, how much material is removed, the suggested process and why it was suggested. For sheet metal you see the cutting and the number of bends. This is a quick check before the inquiry, not a quote. If something does not suit CNC, we tell you before the quote.

  3. Quote

You add material, quantity, accuracy and coating and leave a contact. An engineer reviews the file and sends you a quote by email within 2 working days, with a price and lead time for your part.

  4. Manufacturing

We take the order: the design and the drawings are ours, and we answer for quality and lead time.

  5. Delivery

The finished part is sent by courier across Bulgaria.

What is settled at the review

The browser measures only what can be seen in the file: size, volume, shape, cutting and bends. For a prototype that is often enough; for a precise fit it is not.

Thin walls, inside radii, pockets, tolerances and coatings are reviewed by an engineer. A precise fit and a batch need a drawing with tolerances. The stock size and the weight are confirmed when we review the file.

The suggested process is a suggestion, not a decision: turning when the shape is rotational, milling otherwise. The engineer confirms or changes it.

Questions about the CNC service

These are the questions people ask most often. If yours is missing, write or call.

How much does CNC milling cost?

The price of CNC milling depends on the material, blank size, machining time, quantity and tolerance, so this page prints no general price. Upload the file or describe the part and you receive a quote by email within 2 working days, with the price and lead time for your part.

Do you offer turning?

Yes, we take on turning for shafts, bushings and round parts. The length is up to 2000 mm, the diameter up to 500 mm. A part up to 3 times as long as its diameter needs only the chuck; longer ones need lighter cuts or support. These figures are a guide, not a promise.

How much does sheet metal bending cost?

The price of sheet metal bending depends on the material, thickness, bends and quantity. As a guide, thickness is up to 10 mm, on request up to 12 mm, and bending length up to 3100 mm. Send a DXF with marked bend lines and receive a quote within 2 working days.

What file should I send for CNC machining?

Best is a 3D model in STEP or STL, and for flat parts and sheet metal a DXF. We also accept a PDF drawing, DWG, a photo or a sketch. STEP carries the exact shape, while the drawing adds the tolerances. With no file, describe the part and you receive a quote within 2 working days.

What tolerance can be achieved?

As a guide, the tolerance in CNC milling is ±0.127 mm, in sheet metal bending ±1 mm. Typical in machining: 0.025 to 0.125 mm. A tighter tolerance needs a drawing, is confirmed in the quote and costs more. Mark the tolerance and the critical dimensions on the drawing.

How long does it take to make a part?

The quote arrives within 2 working days. The manufacturing lead time depends on the part and the workload. As a guide it is 3 to 5 working days (typical for the market, on request). The quote states the exact lead time. Need it faster? Say so in the form.

Which materials can be used?

We accept aluminium, wood, brass, stainless steel, plastic, carbon steel and titanium for manufacturing. For sheet metal the kind of metal and the thickness matter too. Write the material in the form or leave it open: we will suggest a suitable one in the quote, which arrives within 2 working days.

Can I order without a drawing?

Yes. If you only have a part, an idea or a photo, we draw the 3D model and the drawing: design is our work. Send a photo with a ruler by the part or a sketch with dimensions. Design and manufacturing go into one quote within 2 working days. So you need neither a draftsman nor a CAD program.

Do you do plasma cutting and waterjet cutting?

Plasma cutting is for thick steel along a DXF outline, while waterjet cutting also suits heat-sensitive materials. As a guide, thickness is up to 40 mm for plasma cutting and up to 50 mm for waterjet cutting. Send a DXF with the material and thickness.

Do you deliver from Plovdiv across the country?

Orders are handled from Plovdiv, and finished parts are sent by courier across Bulgaria. The way of delivery is stated in the quote, which arrives within 2 working days after we receive the file. For questions about delivery, write or call us.
