The KLEMA 250 Pro is an FDM 3D printer from KLEMA with a 230 x 250 x 370 mm build volume.

Specifications

The KLEMA 250 Pro is a professional-grade, fully enclosed FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer engineered for industrial prototyping, manufacturing tooling, and production-grade parts. Positioned as a major upgrade to the baseline KLEMA 250, the "Pro" version addresses mechanical limits by incorporating a more rigid structural design, updated stepper drivers, and enhanced high-temperature capabilities.

  • Technology: FDM/FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) with 1.75 mm filament compatibility.
  • Build Volume: 230 × 250 × 370 mm.

Calibration

Perform these 8 calibration steps to configure the KLEMA 250 Pro for high-performance operation:

  • Sensorless Homing Threshold Configuration:

Because physical limit switches are absent, the TMC2209 driver sensitivity must be tuned to identify the frame boundaries.

Procedure: Connect the printer to a terminal (e.g., OctoPrint) and access the StallGuard threshold setting (`SGTHRS` in Marlin or `driver_SGTHRS` in Klipper).

Common defects

  • Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
  • Acrylic Panel Vibrations (Resonance Noise): During rapid direction changes, the top acrylic dome and front door can rattle against the metal frame, creating significant noise. Solution: Apply adhesive-backed foam or silicone weatherstripping along the frame edges where the panels rest to absorb vibrations.

What it is used for

Suitable Materials and Applications:

  • Industrial Tooling and Jigs: Ideal for printing manufacturing templates and assembly guides from CF-reinforced polymers due to the rigid mechanics and hardened hotend options.
  • Tall Mechanical Parts: The 370 mm vertical Z-axis is well-suited for manufacturing tall conduits, protective covers, and structural brackets in a single piece.
