The KLEMA 250 is an FDM 3D printer from KLEMA with a 250 x 250 x 350 mm build volume.

Specifications

The KLEMA 250 is an industrial-grade, fully enclosed FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer designed and manufactured by the Ukrainian company KLEMA (3DDevice). It is engineered to meet the demands of continuous, reliable prototyping and small-batch manufacturing. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of its technical parameters, design considerations, and their engineering implications:

  • Technology: FDM/FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) utilizing standard 1.75 mm thermoplastic filaments.
  • Build Volume: 250 × 250 × 350 mm.

Calibration

Follow this detailed 8-step calibration guide to achieve maximum print quality and dimensional accuracy on the KLEMA 250:

  • H-bot Racking and X/Y Squareness Calibration:

Because H-bot systems rely on a single belt, uneven belt tension causes the X-axis gantry to twist relative to the Y-axis rails.

Procedure: Move the X-axis gantry manually to the front of the frame until it touches the front mechanical stops.

Common defects

  • Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
  • H-bot Kinematics Racking: The most notable mechanical limitation of the H-bot configuration. Because the belts pull from one side during asymmetrical moves, the X-axis gantry can twist slightly. Over time, this leads to play in the linear rail carriages. Solution: Regularly clean and lubricate the linear rails with high-quality lithium grease.

What it is used for

Suitable Materials and Applications:

  • Engineering Plastics (ABS, ASA, Nylon): The fully enclosed chamber prevents drafts and holds ambient heat, making it an excellent platform for printing warp-prone engineering plastics.
  • Flexible Parts (TPU, TPE): The Direct Drive system handles flexible filaments with ease, enabling the production of custom gaskets, boots, and dampeners.
