Frame Construction and Rigidity
The WEEDO ME40 is a large-format, open-frame Cartesian 3D printer constructed from heavy-duty aluminum extrusion profiles. The kinematic layout is a Y-axis bed-slinger design, similar to the CR-10 series, but optimized for frame stiffness. It arrives approximately 90% pre-assembled, reducing installation errors and ensuring axis alignment out of the box. Stiffening struts are mounted to the vertical Z-frame to mitigate Z-axis vibrations (Z-wobble) when printing tall models near the maximum height.
High-Temperature Extrusion System
A standout feature of the ME40 is its high-temperature hotend assembly.
To maintain print quality and mechanical reliability on your WEEDO ME40, follow these calibration procedures:
PEI requires precise nozzle distance tuning. Too much pressure can damage the PEI coating, while too little will cause prints to warp or detach.
