• Build Plate Preparation

Oil from fingertips, dust, and adhesive residue are the main causes of bed adhesion failure. Wipe the PEI surface with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) of at least 99% concentration while the bed is cool . Use a clean, lint-free microfiber cloth [11, 12].

• Expected result: A clean, grease-free surface that ensures optimal first-layer adhesion.

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Z-Endstop Damage from Bed Over-Tightening: The mechanical microswitch for Z-homing is located near the bed leveling screws. If a user applies excessive torque while adjusting the bed, the metal switch arm can become bent or compressed. On the SC2 model, the high-torque Z-motors can drive the nozzle into the bed with high force if the switch fails, potentially bending the Z lead screws or linear shafts.
