The GKtwo is an LCD 3D printer from UniFormation with a 228 x 128 x 245 mm build volume.

Type: MSLA (LCD mask stereolithography, 405 nm)

Light Engine: 10.3-inch monochrome 8K LCD panel (7680×4320 pixels): 29.6 µm XY resolution, among the finest in the hobby class.

Build Volume: 228 × 128 × 245 mm: typical for mid-size hobby MSLA; 245 mm Z offers flexibility for taller objects.

Special Hardware: Built-in PTC ceramic heater: warms resin to 35°C in 8 min at 10°C ambient, eliminating the primary cause of winter print failures. Military-grade honeycomb activated carbon filter for VOC suppression.

Mechanics: Quick-release vat with 2-second swap; vertical flip-up lid for side-by-side farm configuration.

Calibration

PTC Pre-Heating: In cold environments, ALWAYS activate the heater and wait until 35°C is reached. Skipping this is the leading cause of bottom-layer failures in winter.

Leveling After Vat Swap: The quick-release mechanism is fast but repeatable to only ±0.1 mm: perform a rapid paper-test after every vat change.

RERF at 8K: 29.6 µm pixel is more sensitive to over-exposure than 4K panels: start exposure from a low value (1.5 s) and increase until details are clear.

Common defects

Cold Resin / Print Failure: Without heating in cold environments, resin is too viscous. Solve with PTC heater: 8 min at 10°C ambient.

Suction Cup Effect: 228×128 mm FEP area is significant. Orient flat parts at 30–45°; add drainage holes to closed cavities.

Over-Exposure at 8K: 29.6 µm pixel is more delicate: reduce exposure by 0.2 s steps when losing detail or channels fill in.

VOC Odor with Worn Filter: Replace carbon filter; add central ventilation for farm setups.

Cold Workshop / Winter Use: PTC heater is GKtwo's unique advantage: the only way for reliable operation below 15°C without additional equipment.

MSLA Farm (2–6 Machines): Flip-up lid, quick-release vat, and compact footprint are designed specifically for farm configurations.
