Laser and Wavelength

The Neo800+ is powered by a 4 W solid-state UV laser at 355 nm: double the output of the original Neo800 (2 W). This upgrade delivers up to 50% faster build speeds at identical geometry. The laser operates via high-frequency galvanometer scanning.

Optics, ScanControl+

ScanControl+ technology is the key differentiator, it dynamically optimizes laser spot size and shape in real time across the entire 800 × 800 mm aperture. This compensates for inherent geometric distortions at large apertures and ensures homogeneous accuracy across the center and corners.

Calibration

Calibration Protocol: Neo800+

• 9-point XY calibration: at 800 mm aperture, a 3×3 grid of target markers is mandatory. Tolerance: ≤ 0.1 mm per 100 mm. ScanControl+ compensates automatically, but physical verification is required quarterly.
• Platform leveling (Z-zero): the large 800 mm platform requires 4-corner + center leveling. Even 0.1° of tilt at 800 mm means 1.4 mm variation at the corners: critical for first-layer adhesion.

Common defects

Corner accuracy errors, parts in the corners of the 800 mm platform show greater deviation. Cause: uncalibrated or worn galvanometer at large aperture. Fix: 9-point XY calibration; position critical parts in the central zone.

Delamination in solid sections: horizontal cracks in thick-walled zones. Cause: faster polymerization at 4 W generates a higher thermal gradient.
