Laser and Scanner

The Kings SLA 1000 Pro features three independent 355 nm laser channels, each with a dedicated ScanLab (Germany) galvanometric scanner. Scanner speed up to 15,000 mm/s. The variable-beam optics system switches between 0.08 mm (fine-detail mode) and 0.8 mm (bulk-fill mode) within a single layer pass.

Platform

Build volume 1,000 × 600 × 500 mm: among the largest in the 355 nm SLA class. Granite base for vibration isolation and thermal stability. Accuracy ±0.1 mm for features ≤100 mm and ±0.1%×L for longer dimensions.

Calibration

Platform levelling: planarity ≤0.1 mm; with three laser zones, even a slight tilt produces visible zone boundaries.

Three ScanLab zone synchronisation: reference part crossing all three zones; stitching offset in Kings Build Software; zone-boundary error ≤0.15 mm.

Jacob Working Curve: Cd/Ec profiling per laser channel separately if powers differ.

XY accuracy per zone: CMM measurement in three zones; asymmetric error indicates a problematic galvanometer module.

Common defects

Stitch line between zones: cause: stitching offset error or thermal drift; fix: recalibrate + enable temperature compensation.

Warping > 600 mm: cause: large monolithic cross-section; fix: add relief slots, reduce Cd, tilt 15–20°.

Delamination at massive supports: cause: vacuum effect on large support area; fix: reduce Z-speed + add perforations in supports.

What it is used for

Full-scale automotive prototypes: 1 m volume fits a complete front bumper or door in a single session without splitting.

Footwear master models: precision and surface quality allow direct silicone casting from the printed object.

Investment casting patterns: 500 mm Z accommodates long patterns for aerospace and marine components.
