Laser

2 W solid-state UV laser at 355 nm, the standard wavelength for SLA photopolymerization. The laser delivers 40% more power than the Neo450e (1 W), directly translating to 40% faster scan speeds.

Optics and scanner (ScanControl+)

ScanControl+ is the proprietary technology for dynamically varying the laser beam diameter. In SD (Standard Definition) mode the beam is wider: faster scanning of fill areas. In HD (High Definition) mode the beam is narrowed: higher resolution along contours. Both modes can be combined within a single layer for an optimal speed/detail balance.

Calibration

Calibration: Stratasys Neo450s

• Galvanometer X-Y calibration: print reference targets at the corners and center of the platform; measure deviations and enter a correction matrix in Neo Control. Expected: ≤ 0.1 mm error across the full 450 × 450 mm area. Repeat after every laser module replacement.
• Z-zero calibration: precise determination of the zero Z-position relative to the resin level. Check at every resin change and after long idle periods: resin evaporates slowly.

Dripping resin / drainage problems

With a 141 L vat, large amounts of resin adhere to the part. Fix: drainage holes ≥ 5 mm in hollow parts; allow 5–10 min drainage over the vat.

Laser drift during long prints

Thermal beam shift after hours of operation. Fix: enable thermal compensation in Neo Control; for critical parts: periodic recalibration.

Warping of large flat parts

Differential shrinkage during polymerization.
