Technology

Calibration

• Laser Beam Check: Run the built-in laser diagnostic from 3D Sprint. Expected: beam diameter within ±5% of factory spec. Tip: Run the test in the morning, before the room warms up.
• Platform Levelling: Home the Z-axis and verify the gap to the vat floor with the built-in sensor. Expected: uniform first-layer adhesion across the full platform. Tip: If corners fail, check the machine frame level with a precision spirit level.

Common defects

Common Defects on the ProJet 6000 HD

Suction Cup Effect: Flat, enclosed bottom surfaces with large cross-sections create a vacuum when the platform lifts, either detaching the part or deforming it. Fix: Add drain holes ≥ 3 mm in horizontal walls, or tilt the orientation 10–15°.

Undercure: Soft or tacky zones after printing indicate insufficient UV dose caused by contaminated optics, aged resin, or excessively high scan speed.
