Light Engine (DLP)

The D30+ uses a bottom-up DLP architecture with a UV LED projector and a release film VAT (FEP or PDMS depending on resin). Resolution delivers dental-grade accuracy for arches, crowns, and surgical guides.

Build Volume

133 × 70 × 155 mm (XYZ). A format optimised for dental devices: accommodating 2–3 full dental arches or 6–8 surgical guides per job at correct orientation. Layer thickness: 25–200 µm.

Patented ASM (Automatic Separation Module).

Calibration

Calibrating the Rapid Shape D30+

1. Platform Levelling

Semi-automatic procedure in Rapid Shape software. For uneven contact: turn corner bolts 1/4 turn and retry. Mandatory after VAT replacement or ASM service.

2. Load Cell Calibration

Verify baseline load cell reading with an open VAT (no resin): should be < 5 N. For false 'Peel force exceeded' alarms, check platform bolt tightness. Recalibrate when baseline drifts ±15%.

3. Exposure Time by Resin.

Common defects

Common Defects on the Rapid Shape D30+

Suction Cup Effect

Symptom: Arch model falls into the resin mid-print. Cause: Vacuum in the palatal vault. Fix: Add ø 1.5 mm drain holes; enable load cell dynamic speed control; reduce lift speed by 20%.

Undercure (soft walls)

Symptom: Temporary crowns are flexible after post-cure. Cause: New resin batch with higher UV absorption, or cloudy VAT film. Fix: Increase exposure time by 0.3–0.5 s; inspect VAT film.
