Prodways ProMaker LD3

The Prodways ProMaker LD3 is a DLP 3D printer from Prodways with a 64 x 120 x 130 mm build volume.

Light Engine (MOVINGLight DLP)

Prodways' patented MOVINGLight technology moves the DLP projector head horizontally along the X axis during exposure, eliminating the fixed-pixel artefacts of stationary DLP systems. The result is uniform energy distribution and smooth curved surfaces without visible pixelation.

Optics

50 µm native pixel pitch; the MOVINGLight sweep effectively delivers sub-pixel uniformity across the build area.

Small 64 × 120 mm build plate: sized for single dental crowns, 3-unit bridges, and jewellery castable models. Manual 3-bolt levelling.

Calibration

Platform Levelling

Manual 3-bolt levelling at room temperature. Uniform base-layer thickness is the success criterion.

MOVINGLight Speed

Tune per resin type. Slower head movement = higher UV dose. Test with a full-fill square for visual uniformity.

Base Layers

Dental resins require shorter bottom exposure than standard resins: over-exposure deforms thin marginal edges.

Dimensional Test

Print a 20×20×5 mm block and measure with digital calipers. Expected XY deviation < ±50 µm.

Common defects

Suction Cup Effect (Flat Parts)

Cause: vacuum build-up during FEP separation. Fix: add drain holes; tilt part 30–45°; slow lift speed.

Undercure (Soft/Tacky Surfaces)

Cause: excessive MOVINGLight speed or aged lamp. Fix: reduce speed; check lamp power.

Warping of Thin Dental Plates

Cause: internal stress. Fix: add stiffening ribs in design; post-cure immediately after washing.

Layer Lines on Curved Surfaces

Cause: thick layer + low overhang angle.
