The Longer LK1 Pro is an FDM 3D printer from Longer with a 300 x 300 x 400 mm build volume.

Specifications

The Longer LK1 Pro represents the highest developmental milestone of the first-generation large-format LK1 series. This "Pro" version was engineered to address two major drawbacks of the earlier models: the high-pitched stepper motor noise during printing and the dated character LCD user interface. By integrating silent stepper drivers and a modern color touch screen from the factory, this machine is far more suitable for enclosed hobby workspaces, home offices, and classrooms.

• Hotend (Hotend): Standard Bowden-style extrusion system feeding 1.75 mm filament through a PTFE guide tube to a lightweight carriage.

Calibration

Tuning the Longer LK1 Pro requires paying attention to its silent stepper electronics and touchscreen-driven firmware. Follow these 8 steps:

• Glass Bed Prep and Thermal Stabilization:

Clean the glass build plate with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) when cold.

• Expected result: A pristine, grease-free surface that prevents prints from warping.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Stepper Motor Overheating in StealthChop Mode:
• Symptoms: The X, Y, or extruder stepper motors become hot to the touch (above 70°C), causing filament to soften in the extruder or resulting in skipped steps.
• Cause: TMC2208 drivers running in StealthChop2 mode require more current to maintain holding torque, raising stepper operating temperatures.
