The Creasee Skywalker is an FDM 3D printer from Creasee with a 300 x 300 x 400 mm build volume.

Specifications

The Creasee Skywalker is a large-format desktop FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer manufactured by the Dongguan-based brand Creasee. Positioned as a direct competitor in the budget large-format market, the Skywalker is mechanically identical to or a slight variation of the Creasee CS30. Offering a 300x300x400 mm build volume at a price point close to standard 220 mm machines, the Skywalker appeals to users looking for large print areas on a budget. However, because it shares its design with the CS30, the printer faces the same physical limitations: Y-axis bed inertia, Z-axis frame sway at high print heights, and a lack of official customer support or detailed documentation.

Calibration

Getting clean prints out of the Creasee Skywalker requires precise calibration of its kinematics to handle Y-axis bed inertia and Z-axis gantry alignment.

  • Carborundum Glass Cleaning and Preparation: Clean the glass plate with warm water and liquid dish soap to remove grease and oils. Wipe it down with a clean microfiber cloth saturated with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) before starting a print.
  • Expected result: An oil-free surface that maximizes first-layer adhesion.

Common defects

  • Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
  • Cracked Plastic Extruder Tension Arm: The stock plastic extruder tension arm is prone to cracking near the brass pivot insert.
  • Symptom: Filament slipping, under-extrusion, and incomplete layers.
  • Solution: Upgrade the plastic extruder assembly to an aluminum metal extruder.
  • PTFE Bowden Coupler Slippage: The stock pneumatic couplers can lose their grip on the Bowden tube.

What it is used for

Ideal Applications

  • Large Cosplay and Prop Manufacturing: Printing helmets, mask elements, and replica weapons in a single piece, eliminating the need to cut and glue parts.
  • Workshop Enclosures and Brackets: Ideal for printing toolboxes, brackets, and fixtures from PETG.
