The Anycubic Kobra Max is an FDM 3D printer from Anycubic with a 400 x 400 x 450 mm build volume.

The Anycubic Kobra Max is an FDM 3D printer from Anycubic with a 400 x 400 x 450 mm build volume.

Calibration

  • Mechanical assembly and squareness check
  • Action: Assemble the printer carefully and verify that the gantry, uprights, and bed carriage are square before any tuning. On a machine this large, even small angular errors amplify across the 400 × 400 × 450 mm envelope. Tighten frame fasteners evenly, confirm the Z lead screws rise and descend without binding, and inspect the Y-bed rails for smooth travel end to end.

Common defects

  • Bedslinger inertia and large-footprint motion artifacts
  • Symptoms: Ringing, ghosting, corner artifacts, or layer wobble appear on tall or fast prints, especially when the bed is carrying a heavy model across the Y axis.
