Specifications

The Raise3D N2 Plus Single is a professional-grade FDM 3D printer released in 2016. In contrast to the Dual model, the Single variant features a single direct-drive extruder toolhead. This mechanical simplification yields specific advantages, such as a lighter print head carriage, access to the full width of the build plate without offset reductions, and simplified calibration routines.

• Hotend: The printer is equipped with a single Raise3D V2 all-metal hotend capable of temperatures up to 300°C. The hotend relies on a high-wattage heating cartridge and a specialized aluminum heater block designed to sustain stable volumetric flow rates.

Calibration

To achieve consistent print quality across the large 610 mm build height, the mechanical axes and build plate must be aligned manually.

• Build Plate Prep: Clean the BuildTak sheet with 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and a microfiber cloth before starting a print.
• Expected result: Complete removal of surface contaminants and oils, ensuring the filament adheres correctly to the build surface.

Common defects

While the Raise3D N2 Plus Single is highly reliable due to its simpler single-nozzle design, it is still subject to the mechanical and electrical issues inherent in the N2 architecture.
