Calibration

  • Establish a stable mechanical baseline before any slicer tuning.

Action: Place the M2 on a rigid, level surface with minimal vibration and sufficient clearance around the open frame. Verify that the frame, bed carriage, belt paths, and fasteners are mechanically sound before powering on. Check that the print surface is clean, the nozzle is free of residue, and the filament path is unobstructed.

Common defects

  • Manual leveling burden and first-layer sensitivity

Symptoms: First layers alternate between over-squished, under-adhered, and inconsistent across the bed; small changes in one corner affect the rest of the surface.

Cause: The M2 relies on manual bed leveling/tramming, not documented auto-leveling, so bed height and nozzle gap depend on careful operator adjustment.
