The Flsun Q5 is an FDM 3D printer from Flsun with a 200 x 200 x 200 mm build volume.

The Flsun Q5 is an FDM 3D printer from Flsun with a 200 x 200 x 200 mm build volume.

Calibration

  • Establish the printer’s geometric baseline before tuning speed.

Action: Power on the Q5, confirm that the three delta towers are mechanically square, check that the effector carriage moves smoothly through the full vertical travel, and inspect the Bowden path from the frame-mounted Titan-clone extruder to the effector hotend for kinks, drag, or loose couplers.

Common defects

  • Stock hotend is the main throughput bottleneck. The most repeated limitation is the stock V6 Lite-style hotend paired with the Bowden system, which constrains usable temperature and volumetric flow.

Symptoms: Under-extrusion at higher speeds, softened corners, weak top layers, and poor consistency during fast infill or repeated retractions.

Causes: Limited melt capacity, long Bowden path, and a non-high-flow hotend architecture that struggles once print speed rises.
