This model is the advanced variant of the industrial FF300 workstation manufactured by the Colombian company Fused Form Corp (ProtoLab 3D S.A.S.). The specific designation "Doppia" (Italian/Spanish for "Double") highlights its primary structural divergence: the integration of a dual extrusion system. This enables the simultaneous deposition of two distinct materials or colors within a single print cycle, opening the door for the smooth printing of highly complex geometries with soluble support materials.

Calibration

Dual-material printing requires precise synchronization between both nozzles across all axes. If the alignment is off, the idle nozzle will scrape the print, or the materials will not interface correctly. Here is how to calibrate the machine.

• Cleaning the glass and thermal stabilization:
• Procedure: Wait for the bed to cool below 30°C. Wipe the glass surface with a clean microfiber cloth soaked in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Stringing and oozing from the idle nozzle: While T0 is printing, T1 remains hot and idle. Gravity causes plastic to ooze out, leaving fine threads on the model. Solution: Lower the standby temperature of T1 by 20°C and use an ooze shield (Draft Shield) to catch drips.

• Complex mechanisms with moving assemblies: Printing gears, linkages, and interlocking parts in a single run (Print-in-place), then dissolving the PVA support material in water.
• Architectural models with overhangs: Eliminates the risk of breaking delicate features during mechanical support removal.
