Display / Optics

The Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 12K features a 10-inch monochrome LCD at 11,520 × 5,120 pixels with an XY pixel size of 19 × 24 µm. A COB LED array combined with a Fresnel collimating lens delivers 92% light uniformity: essential for consistent polymerization in dental and jewelry applications.

Tilt-Release Mechanism

Instead of a standard vertical lift, the tilt-release system tilts the vat at each layer, drastically reducing peel forces and enabling print speeds up to 150 mm/h.

Auto-Leveling

Four built-in force sensors measure and compensate platform tilt automatically: no manual adjustment required.

1. Auto-Leveling

Run Auto-Level from the menu before each new resin or after any transport. The system measures 4 points and corrects tilt automatically.

2. Exposure Test

Print an AMD or Resin XP2 Validation Matrix. Target the normal exposure at which 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm bridges are filled without halos. For the 12K panel the sweet spot is narrow: start at 1.5 s and increment by 0.2 s.

3. FEP/nFEP Tension.

FEP Adhesion / Print Stuck to Vat

Reduce bottom exposure and check FEP tension. On tilt-release machines, add anti-vacuum holes to large-footprint parts.

Layer Banding

Clean the Fresnel lens; run an exposure uniformity test. Reduce lift speed on thin-walled sections.

Warping

Add medium-density supports every 4–5 mm and consider anti-aliasing.
