Calibration

Because the Sermoon V1 series lacks physical leveling knobs, calibration focuses on software Z-offset adjustments, build plate maintenance, and temperature management within the enclosed chamber.

• PC Build Plate Degreasing and Cleaning: Clean the flexible PC sheet with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) before every print to remove dust, oils, and residues from handling.
• Expected result: A clean surface that ensures maximum print adhesion for the first layer.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Fixed Bed Structural Limitations: Since the bed is bolted directly to the Z-axis carriage without springs or adjustment knobs, any physical warping of the Z-carriage or the bed plate cannot be easily leveled out manually.
• Symptom: Inconsistent first-layer thickness on the left and right sides of the bed that Z-offset calibration cannot fully resolve.
