The Bibo 2 dual is an FDM 3D printer from BIBO with a 214 x 186 x 160 mm build volume.
The BIBO 2 Dual (often referred to in the maker community as the BIBO 2 Touch Laser due to its responsive touchscreen interface and dual capability) is a classic multi-functional Cartesian FDM 3D printer that gained widespread popularity among hobbyists, makerspaces, and schools due to its factory-equipped dual direct-drive extruder setup and an optional modular laser engraving attachment. The machine features a highly robust, fully enclosed frame constructed from 6 mm thick aluminum composite panels (Dibond-style) and clear acrylic viewing windows, ensuring excellent rigidity, high resistance to structural twisting, and optimal heat retention during print cycles.
Using the BIBO 2 Dual successfully requires precise alignment of both nozzles to prevent scraping and color cross-contamination. Follow these 8 calibration steps:
Because both nozzles are fixed to a single carriage, they must sit at the exact same vertical distance from the bed. If one nozzle sits even 0.05 mm lower, it will drag on the printed model when the other extruder is printing, causing print failures.
