The Photon M3 Max is an LCD 3D printer from Anycubic with a 298 x 164 x 300 mm build volume.

Calibration

• Confirm resin-printer fundamentals before any “calibration” workflow begins.

Action: Treat the Photon M3 Max as an MSLA resin system, not an FDM machine. Before touching the build plate, verify that you have the correct consumables: resin, nitrile gloves, isopropyl alcohol or washing solution, paper towels, a UV curing station, and a scraper designed for cured resin.

Common defects

1. Advertised speed can be misleading versus real print throughput.

Symptoms: Users expect exceptionally fast full-height production, but actual print time is slower than marketing suggests.

Cause: Independent coverage notes that resin print speed is constrained by peel cycle time, not just exposure time, and that Anycubic’s speed claims can be much more optimistic than practical slicing profiles.

What it is used for

The Anycubic Photon M3 Max is best suited for very large resin parts, high-detail presentation models, and batch printing of medium-sized parts where a huge build area matters more than filament-style throughput.
