Calibration

To calibrate the Volumic Stream30Dual MK2 for high-precision printing, follow this 8-step guide:

• Wide Chassis Preheating and Stabilization

Close the printer doors and heat the bed to 90°C and the nozzles to 220°C. Let the system sit idle for at least 25 minutes to allow the wide aluminum frame and copper heated bed to reach thermal equilibrium.

• Expected result: Complete thermal stabilization of the structural frame, preventing Z-offset drift during printing.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Print Head Carriage Mass and Ringing: The dual-extruder carriage carries two stepper motors and hotends, resulting in a high moving mass on the wide 300 mm X-axis. Printing at accelerations above 1500 mm/s² can cause ringing and ghosting on printed walls.
• Extruder Heat Creep in Closed Chamber: In a closed chamber, the extruder stepper motors lack active cooling. They can get hot, transferring heat to the filament.
