Calibration

To achieve precise and repeatable prints with the Volumic Stream20Dual MK2, follow this 8-step calibration guide:

• Thermal Equilibrium Preheating

Close the printer doors and preheat the bed to 80°C and the nozzles to 220°C. Let the system sit idle for 20 minutes to allow the aluminum chassis and copper heated bed to reach thermal equilibrium.

• Expected result: Complete thermal stabilization of the structural frame, preventing Z-offset drift during printing.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Glass Surface Thermal Stress: Rapid temperature cycles can cause thermal stress in the borosilicate glass plate. Attempting to force prints off the bed before it has cooled down completely can chip or crack the glass.
• Carriage Mass and Inertia: The print head carriage carries two stepper motors and hotends, resulting in a high moving mass.
