The SeeMeCNC Artemis is an FDM 3D printer from SeeMeCNC with a 290 x 290 x 500 mm build volume.

Specifications

In the field of delta-style 3D printers, the American manufacturer SeeMeCNC is an established pioneer. Their SeeMeCNC Artemis (also referred to as the Artemis 300) represents an industrial-grade delta machine designed for professionals, engineering hubs, and educational institutions requiring exceptional vertical print height, speed, and geometric stability.

  • Hotend: The printer is equipped with the SeeMeCNC SE300 all-metal hotend (with older configurations utilizing the HE280). The SE300 supports maximum operating temperatures of up to 280°C, enabling compatibility with a wide range of thermoplastic filaments, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, and Polycarbonate.

Calibration

Delta printers require extreme mathematical precision in their mechanical geometry. Any micro-deviation in tower alignment or arm length results in dimensional inaccuracy or concave/convex surface defects. Here are eight steps to calibrate the SeeMeCNC Artemis:

  • Verifying Tower Perpendicularity:
  • Process: Ensure all three vertical aluminum columns are mounted at exactly 90 degrees relative to the flat base plate. Use a digital angle finder.

Common defects

  • Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
  • Symptom: Layer shifting or sudden carriage stops.
  • Cause: Loose tower belts or binding carriage blocks on the linear rails. The linear rails on the Artemis require regular lubrication; dry rails lead to high friction, overloading the stepper motors.
  • Solution: Clean and lubricate the linear rails with high-quality carriage grease. Check belt tension.

What it is used for

Best use-cases

  • Tall Structural Components: Ideal for printing architectural columns, ducting, and tall enclosures up to 525 mm high.
  • STEM and Educational Demonstrations: The open architecture and complex delta coordinate movements serve as an excellent teaching tool for robotics and geometry.
