The Kossel Pro is an FDM 3D printer from Johann with a 250 x 250 x 250 mm build volume.
The Kossel Pro is an industrial-grade delta FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer designed by Terence Tam and launched through a highly successful Kickstarter campaign under the OpenBeam brand. Unlike standard RepRap delta kits of its era, which relied on 3D-printed plastic joints and brackets, the Kossel Pro features stamped aluminum brackets, injection-molded carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon components, and heavy-duty linear guide rails. This design ensures mechanical rigidity and consistent manufacturing tolerances.
Achieving precise prints on the Kossel Pro requires calibrating delta-specific geometry parameters within the Marlin firmware. Follow these eight steps to tune your machine:
Use a machinist's square to verify that all three vertical towers are perpendicular (90 degrees) to the bottom horizontal frame triangle.
