Calibration

To achieve optimal print quality and eliminate mechanical artifacts on the Koonovo Elf, follow these 8 calibration steps:

• CoreXY Belt Tension Balancing:

CoreXY kinematics require both drive belts to have identical tension. Unequal tension causes diagonal distortion and geometric skewing.

Procedure: Loosen the belt tensioners. Manually center the toolhead. Tighten both belts while checking their tension.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Limit Switch Alignment Issues: The factory mounts for the X and Y limit switches can have minor alignment errors, occasionally causing the carriage to hit the frame before triggering the switch. Solution: Manually adjust the switch positions or print adjustable mounting brackets.
• Loose Power Terminals: Some production batches had loose screw terminals on the motherboard for the heated bed power lines.
