ELEGOO NEPTUNE 3 Pro

The ELEGOO NEPTUNE 3 Pro is an FDM 3D printer from ELEGOO with a 225 x 225 x 280 mm build volume.

Calibration

• Verify the machine mechanically before any slicer tuning.

Action: Power off the printer and inspect the entire motion system: check that the X gantry is square to the frame, the two Z lead screws rotate freely and stay synchronized, the bed carriage does not rock, and the eccentric rollers on the X/Y axes are neither too loose nor over-tightened. Confirm the extruder idler tension is firm but not crushing the filament.

Common defects

• Open-frame warping risk with ABS/ASA and other temperature-sensitive materials.

Symptoms: Corners lift, tall parts split at layer lines, and large flat parts curl upward even when the bed adhesion looks acceptable at the start.

Causes: The Neptune 3 Pro is an unenclosed printer, so ambient drafts and room temperature swings disturb the thermal environment around the part.
