The Creality Ender-5 was introduced in early 2019 as a step up from the highly successful Ender-3 series. It features a rigid, cube-style frame that offers major advantages in terms of structural stability and print quality, particularly for tall models. Instead of the Y-axis moving the entire heated bed assembly back and forth (as in typical Cartesian "bed-slingers"), the Ender-5 print head travels along the X and Y axes in the upper plane, while the bed moves only vertically along the Z-axis. This design reduces inertial forces and vibrations, leading to more consistent extrusion.
