The Creality Ender-3 v2 Neo is an FDM 3D printer from Creality with a 220 x 220 x 250 mm build volume.

Specifications

The Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo was launched in mid-2022 as a modernized successor to the highly popular Ender-3 V2. The "Neo" series represents Creality's effort to integrate the community's most requested modifications directly into the factory configuration. By offering a more complete user experience out-of-the-box, this model eliminates the need for the immediate upgrades typical of earlier generations.

  • Hotend: The printer features a redesigned Bowden hotend with an improved metal fan shroud designed to optimize part-cooling airflow. The heating block is powered by a 24V, 40W cartridge, using standard MK8 nozzles.

Calibration

To extract maximum precision from the Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo and ensure the CR-Touch sensor operates optimally, follow these 8 calibration steps:

  • Z-offset Calibration with CR-Touch: Because the printer uses a CR-Touch sensor, the offset distance between the sensor's trigger point and the physical nozzle tip (Z-offset) must be calibrated to the hundredth of a millimeter.

Common defects

  • Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
  • X-Gantry Sag on the Right Side: Since the printer relies on a single Z-axis lead screw on the left, the right side of the X-gantry can sag over time if the V-wheels wear or loosen, leading Z-axis errors that the CR-Touch cannot completely resolve.
  • Symptoms: Sagging right carriage, layer gaps on one side of prints.
  • Solution: Install a secondary Z-axis lead screw kit with belt synchronization.

What it is used for

Best use-cases:

  • Daily PLA and PETG Prints: The flexible PC plate and CR-Touch auto leveling make it convenient for starting daily print jobs with reliable first layers and easy part removal.
  • Hobby Enclosures and Brackets: Quiet operation and a reliable frame make it a great choice for home workshops.
