Calibration

  • Confirm the printer is correctly leveled on a rigid, vibration-resistant surface before touching the screen or vat.

Action: Place the Photon Mono X2 on a level bench that does not flex under load, and ensure the machine has clearance around the enclosure for safe lid removal and Z-axis travel. If the table vibrates, move the printer or add a denser support surface.

Common defects

  • Nozzle-related issues do not apply, but resin-path contamination does.

Symptoms: Random missing layers, deformed details, or a print that fails only in certain areas.

Cause: On the Photon Mono X2 there is no nozzle; the equivalent failure mode is cured debris floating in the vat, contamination on the FEP/vat film, or residue on the LCD window.
