MJF (HP Multi Jet Fusion)

SLS alternative, but no laser. inkjet head deposits fusing + detailing agents → IR lamp cures.

MJF (HP Multi Jet Fusion) is a powder bed fusion variant in which inkjet print heads deposit two agents: a fusing agent (carbon black, IR absorber) and a detailing agent (cools the boundary): on a powder bed. An IR lamp then passes; the fusing agent absorbs IR and melts the powder.

MJF is faster than SLS (full-width inkjet vs point laser), with denser parts (lower porosity), and better dimensional accuracy. Production-grade for serial parts: Volkswagen, Smith & Nephew, BMW use MJF.
