Specifications

The Sinterit Lisa Rev 2 is a desktop-class Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer manufactured by the Polish company Sinterit. As the second revision of the original Sinterit Lisa model, it introduces critical mechanical, structural, and thermal refinements designed to improve print reliability and streamline preventative maintenance without increasing the machine's compact benchtop footprint.

• Laser & Optical System: As an SLS system, the printer does not utilize a traditional hotend or extrusion nozzle. Melting energy is supplied by a 5 W infrared semiconductor laser diode operating at an 808 nm wavelength.

Calibration

Operating an atmospheric SLS printer like the Lisa Rev 2 requires careful calibration of temperatures, laser optics, and powder handling systems to achieve consistent results:

• Powder Refresh Ratio Calibration

Because the Lisa Rev 2 lacks a nitrogen chamber, the hot unsintered powder in the build bed oxidizes rapidly during the print cycle. For Nylon PA12, the refresh ratio must be set between 50% to 60% virgin powder to 40% to 50% recycled powder.

Common defects

• Hardware defects and mechanical weaknesses
• Recoater Drawstring Cord Wear and Breakage: The recoater carriage is pulled across the bed by a thin metal cord. Due to exposure to high temperatures and abrasive polymer powders, the cord can fray and break over time.
• Symptom: The recoater roller stops moving mid-chamber, the laser turns off, and the print job halts.
