Sharebot SnowWhite 2

The Sharebot SnowWhite 2 is an SLS 3D printer from Sharebot with a 100 x 100 x 100 mm build volume.

Specifications

Laser: CO₂, 14W, ~10.6 µm wavelength, 0.2 mm spot diameter. Single-laser configuration only.

Scanner: Galvanometric scan system; scan speed appropriate for 14W class machines (~2–4 m/s).

Platform: Vertical build platform, 50 µm Z resolution, 100×100 mm XY footprint.

Chamber: Active thermal enclosure with heaters up to ~200°C; post-build slow-cool cycle included.

Build Volume: 100×100×100 mm (1 litre): compact, suited for small functional parts and research prints.

Software: Sharebot proprietary software; compatible with Sinterit Studio and Materialise Magics for build preparation.

Calibration

Powder conditioning: Dry at 70–80°C for 4–8 hours before each use; recycled powder max 50% blend.

Energy Density calibration: Test cube at 10–14W / various scan speeds; target ~0.03–0.05 J/mm² for PA12.

Thermal stabilisation: Chamber must reach working temperature and hold stable (±2°C) for at least 30 minutes before print start.

Recoater check: Verify blade horizontality before each new powder charge; inspect for even layer without streaks.

Common defects

Orange-peel: Low Energy Density or cold chamber → increase laser power or reduce scan speed.

Warping: Fast cool-down or shallow powder bed → extend slow-cool cycle, add ≥10 mm powder below part.

Recoater streak: Contaminated or snagged blade → clean blade and check previous layer for raised features.

Thermal bleed (XY oversizing): Excessive power → reduce by 1–2W and apply offset in slicer.

R&D labs: Minimum 300 g powder charge and full recyclability make single experimental prints economical.

Small-batch PA12/TPU parts: Support-free process; nest many small parts within 1 L volume.
