Nylon (PA12)

polyamide: strong, wear-resistant. Hygroscopic: 12 h drying mandatory.

Nylon (Polyamide) is a family of thermoplastic polymers with the amide bond (-CONH-): the same connection found in natural proteins. The most common 3D-printing variants are PA12, PA6, and PA66.

When you need real engineering strength + wear resistance, and PETG/ABS just don't reach. Universal gears, lock joints, ratchet mechanisms: Nylon is the standard.
