BJT (Binder Jetting)

inkjet head deposits binder into powder bed. no laser, no melt. metal/sand/ceramic/full-color.

BJT (Binder Jetting) is a powder-based process: an inkjet head deposits liquid binder selectively onto a powder bed. After printing the "green part" is extracted, debinded, and (for metal/ceramic) sintered in a furnace.

BJT is the fastest powder-bed process (inkjet array vs single laser) and scalable for volume production: Desktop Metal P-System reaches 12,000 cm³/h. No melt → no residual stress, no inert gas, no support structures. Sand BJT is the foundry standard for large-scale casting molds.
