Bio-printing

DIW + living cells. tissue scaffolds, organ-on-chip, drug testing. not full organs yet: but soon.

Bio-printing is a DIW specialisation in which a bio-ink (hydrogel + living cells) is deposited under sterile conditions to build a tissue scaffold or living construct.

Drug testing (organ-on-chip), tissue engineering (skin, cartilage), regenerative medicine. Ethical leap beyond animal testing; personalised medicine. End goal: printable organs for transplantation (10–20 years out).
