Wall Thickness

Wall Thickness refers to the thickness of the outer shell of a 3D printed object. It is a critical setting in slicing software that determines the number of perimeters or walls that will be printed to form the outer surface of the object. The wall thickness is usually a multiple of the nozzle diameter and affects the strength, weight, and print time of the object.

Recommended values: It is recommended to set the wall thickness to at least 1.2 times the nozzle diameter for adequate strength. Common practice is to use a wall thickness of 2-3 times the nozzle diameter for most applications. Adjust according to the specific requirements of the print, such as desired strength and weight.
