Support Placement

Support Placement is a slicer setting that determines where support structures are generated during the 3D printing process. It is crucial for ensuring that overhanging parts of a model are printed successfully without collapsing. This setting can typically be adjusted to generate supports everywhere or only where they touch the build plate.

Recommended values: It is recommended to use support placement settings that balance between adequate support and minimal material usage. For complex models with significant overhangs, 'Everywhere' might be necessary, while simpler models could use 'Touching Buildplate' to save material.
