Ironing

Ironing is a 3D printing technique used to improve the top surface finish of a print. It involves the print head moving over the top layer with a low extrusion rate or no extrusion at all, effectively 'ironing' the surface to create a smoother finish.

Recommended values: For best results, use ironing on flat, horizontal surfaces where a smooth finish is desired. Adjust the flow rate and speed to find the optimal balance for your specific material and printer.
