Generate Support

The 'Generate Support' setting in a slicer determines whether support structures are automatically created for overhanging parts of a 3D model. These structures are necessary for ensuring that parts of the model that do not have sufficient underlying layers are printed successfully. Supports are typically printed with a different pattern or density to make them easier to remove after printing.

Recommended values: It is recommended to use support generation for models with significant overhangs or complex geometries. Adjust the support density and pattern to balance ease of removal with adequate support. Consider using soluble support materials if available.
