PTFE Tube

A PTFE tube, also known as a Bowden tube, is used in FDM 3D printers to guide the filament from the extruder to the hotend. Made from Polytetrafluoroethylene, it is valued for its low friction and high-temperature resistance, ensuring smooth filament feeding and reducing the risk of clogs.

Lifespan: The expected lifespan of a PTFE tube varies depending on usage and filament type, but generally lasts between 6 months to 1 year under normal operating conditions.
